Sugaring is made up of 3 products such as water, sugar and lemon paste. Sugaring is heated in a sugar warmer which is controlled not to burn the client or the patient receiving the treatment. Sugaring is better in the long run as it pulls the hair and removes it from the root where waxing rips and breaks the hair. Sugaring will last up to 4-6 weeks depending on natural hormone hair growth where waxing you will start to see growth again after 5-7 days of the waxing treatment. This is because waxing breaks the hairs and does not pull from the root.
Bikini Wax: A bikini wax involves removing hair that would be visible around the bikini line or panty line. It typically removes hair from the sides and top of the bikini area, ensuring that no stray hairs are visible when wearing a swimsuit or underwear. A standard bikini wax does not remove hair from the labia or buttocks. A bikini only removes a inch of hair anything more is a Brazilian charge.
Brazilian Wax: A Brazilian wax, on the other hand, involves the removal of almost all pubic hair, including hair from the front, sides, and back of the bikini area. This includes the hair on the labia and between the buttocks, leaving the area completely smooth. Some variations of the Brazilian wax may leave a small strip or triangle of hair in the front. At JRO Artistry we offer different types of Brazilian price points depending on what type of Brazilian you want such as:
Classic Brazilian: Leaving a small airport strip of hair on the front- Not including interior or exterior of buttocks or cheeks
Standard Brazilian: Removing all the hair on the front of the vagina and bikini lines
Hollywood Brazilian: Removing all hair in front, bikini lines, belly button and sides.
Full Brazilian: Removing all hair, buttox interior and cheeks (Cheeks are an add on and included in the full brazilian price)
Althought it is fine do wax your bikini lines it is much safter to do sugaring on a Brazilian depending on what type of hair you are wanting. If you are wanting to leave a "Air port strip" than it would be ok for waxing however; if the client is wanting the full hair removed sugaring is much safter and highly recomended. Waxing has a chance of ripping the labia if the wax gets stuck on it where sugaring wouldnt do that. Sugaring also pulls from the root and has a higher chance of less ingrown hairs to remove where waxing has a higher chance of ingrown hairs as you are ripping the hair and breaking it rather from pulling from the root.
At JRO Artistry if you are on your time of the month we ask that you rebook your Brazilian appointment. It can be uncomfortable to get waxed or sugared on your period and hurts alot more as your at a more sensitive time during your cycle. We understand that life happens and can make the special exception to rebook and move your appointment to a later on time in the week.

Body odors and hygiene are important at JRO Artistry. Prior to your Brazilian, inner or outer buttock or bikini appointment we ask that you shower or bath yourself to ensure you are clean. Please also consider douching so there is no odors while we are waxing your personal spots. Remember a waxers head is in your Brazilian area for up to a hour, if you brush your teeth before your dentist or wash your lashes before a lash appointment you would wash your vagina before your gynecologic appointment or waxing appointment. If an odor arises please do not worry as before we start the waxing service we have you wipe down yourself with a disposable baby wipe.
Please also wear underwear you do not mind getting wrecked, It can be hard to remove wax or sugaring wax off fabrics so its best to wear underwear you do not mind getting wrecked.
Although everyone's pain tolerance is difference waxing does hurt more than Sugaring. Waxing rips the hair and breaks the hair in one quick motion where sugaring pulls from the root. Sugaring is more of a tugging feeling and a pulling feeling where waxing is a quick rip. Often most people prefer sugaring over waxing.
Yes, waxing is always better than shaving. Waxing has a less chance of having ingrown hairs and waxing lasts longer than shaving. Waxing lasts 5-7 days before needing it done again where sugaring lasts 4-8 weeks depending on hormones and had the highest chance of no ingrown hairs. Although it is not guaranteed that there is no ingrown hairs from sugaring it has less of a chance of that happening with sugaring as a refult.
