Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation wherein the practitioner uses a curved surgical blade to remove fine facial hair along with the surface layer of skin, Dermaplaning exfoliates the skin and removes excess dry skin debris and peach fuzz revealing your glowing skin beneath. Wonderful for giving your skin a boost The deep exfoliation allows our high nutrient skincare and serums to deeply penetrate your skin. Great for all skin types. No down-time. *Peach fuzz "Vellus" does not grow back in thicker or darker. It also makes our skin have a youthful glow and give the illusion of less wrinkles in more mature skin.

With JRO Artistry Packages depending on the Package you are picking our dermaplaning is anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes to give you the best relaxing exsperience!
The frequency of dermaplaning sessions can vary, but it is generally recommended every 3 to 4 weeks for optimal results. At the end of the day it bases on your own hair growth of your hormones. while some clients may book every 3-4 weeks other clients may want it as a minimum of 1-2 weeks. Some mild redness may occur immediately after the procedure, but it typically subsides within a few hours. Serious irritation is rare but can be minimized with proper post-care.
The Golden Rule at JRO Artistry is 2-3 Days minimum to wait to allow the skin to recover. This helps prevent irritation and allows the skincare products to penetrate effectively. Its important to remember that dermaplaning removes the top layer of our dead skin cells and face hair removing that outer barier of protection for a few days. Its best to wear sunscreen with SPF 60 minimum for 7 days straight after the treatment along with your skin care routine.
Dermaplaning is generally safe for all skin types, but it's important to consult with a skincare professional to ensure it is the right option for your specific skin concerns. If you have skin Sensitivity's, certain Skin Disorders or skin Concerns you may not be a suitable candidate for dermaplaning.
Does dermaplaning make hair grow back thicker?
No, dermaplaning does not alter the texture or color of hair. The vellus hair that is removed will grow back the same as before, this is based on your hormones and how often your hair grows and if you already have dark hair. Some clients with darker hair may not want dermaplaning and may prefer sugaring or waxing services by JRO Artistry instead as dermaplaning you will notice the hair growth pattern back if your skincare is darker!
While dermaplaning is generally safe, there may be some minimal risks, such as infection or irritation, this is very unlikely if you book with a certified technician who follows standard up to date hygiene practices such as JRO Artistry does. Some mile side effects may be:
Redness or irritation
-Swelling
-Bruising
-Infection & Scaring (although rare)
-Changes in skin texture. (Often for the better, This treatment is meant to improve our skin)
-White heads on skin a few days after treatment (result of Exfoliating the skin)
-Potential razor burn (not likely as skin care is used for prevention)

The Technician washes the face with Nitrile Latex free gloves using a face wash suited for your skin, Complimentry Face Massage for 5 minutes Wiping it dry I apply Oils to give your skin the clean shave to exfoliate. Once Finished I apply Skincare to help rejuvenate your skin.
This method is roughly 45 minutes

Advanced Dermaplaning: The Technician Washes your face with Nitrile Gloves Using a cleanser recommended for your skin type, they give a complimentry face massage and than They apply a Hot towel to your face from our towel warmer cabinet to create a luxurious treatment and to open your pores. They than apply alcohol pads, and use a fan to dry. Face Oil is added to help the blade swipe smoothly. Once finished another hot towel is applied, with a under eye pad to moisturize your eyes. To finish They Use a Toner, serum and moisturizer.

The Hollywood Dermaplaning Package: Wanting to feel like a movie star? This package includes everything from the other two packages including a HydroJelly Mask treatment. This treatment is made mainly with refined alginate. The mask contains much more alginate than regular rubber masks. That's why Jellymask texture is like jelly, which provides extra full hydration and instant cool and soothing effects all at once. It provides multiple benefits to your skin such as: hydration, smoothing, moisturizing, cleansing, exfoliating, conditioning, toning skin, Balances Oil, Clears acne scars, soothes and treats allergy prone skin and reducing inflammation.
